the government wants to take away all types of weapons away from every one like a few years ago they tried to ban all swords i cant remember if they went through with it i dont think so but if they would have that would have been a big blow to all martial arts and their members. me as a member of a martial arts group found out about this through other members of our group. i can recall this was after some crazy person robbed a house and cut up the family with a samurai sword.the gov wanted to ban all sword and there was a petition going against it which was on here http://www.number10.gov.uk/Page11849
i dont know how it went but i would never give up my arms i paid good money for them

heyyy i can see from this that you are totally against drugs and how it effected your family. that is your own personal reason why you wouldnt take drugs. But what would you do if one of your friends started to take drugs would you stop chatting to them, that is something i had to think about when my friend started smoking weed. as i am a sikh i had to think to myself if i went through this sort of stuff if i have problems would my friend leave me out. people only take drugs to numb out the pain of every day, u get what i mean. why not instead of shunt a person out because they take drugs, chat to the person try ad find out why they are taking drugs.

Week 4 Masturbation
What I seem to think is that in the west talking about masturbation has become a norm and people talk about masturbation with their friends, this is seen more so with guys than girls. I have a lot of female friends who all follow the same faith as me and I know that there is not set rule about masturbation but because Sikhism started within Punjab and in Punjab masturbation is seen as a taboo subject which not many people talk about.
Hereis a asian person who has writen an artical in a magazine about it http://www.asiancemagazine.com/dec_2007/masturbation_recreation
I thought I’d ask them what they think about the topic of masturbation and to my surprise they were a little bit shy to start but once the discussion got started they each gave their views. And each of them were different to each other one of them had the view that by masturbating you are allowing your vices to take control and that as Sikhs we should have enough strength through meditation to control the 5 vices. Which is a valid point and it is true that in Sikhism we are told that as Sikhs we must keep the 5 vices at bay (1 Kaam- Lust, 2 Krodh- Anger, 3Lob- Greed, 4 Moh- Attachment (to world objects), 5Ahankar- Self Ego) through meditation.
Then I asked a group of male Sikhs who I also know the same question but this is where I was shocked because when I had asked my female group I didn’t think they would be as open to discuss the topic as they were but I did think the group of guys who all knew each other would be open to discuss the topic. They didn’t say anything and brushed aside the question this maybe because they may think a person only masturbates when they can’t get pleasure through sexual intercourse like what is portrayed about “Nerds”. But what I found out also is that guys will talk more openly one to one rather than in a group which girls won’t because a guy would feel unconvertible talk to another guy about masturbation.
Then I tried getting a mixed group of people from all types of backgrounds and did the same thing and realised that people from a western background will openly talk about masturbation because in their culture they are a lot more open about these topics were as in Asian families the topic of masturbation would never be spoken about. This may have a lot to do with the fact that our parents and their parents never spoke about masturbation so they would never speak to us about it. But in the western sociality the parents talk to the child which is also known as “The Talk” I don’t think that the parent or the child likes having “The Talk” but they believe it will stop the child from doing anything wrong where they might do more bad than good.
So my answer to the question asked would be that it depends on who you friends are and how open they are about the subject, I would also say it depends on what background they from because as I know people from Asian background won’t open up t the topic as much as people from a western background. That is just the way that we have been brought up, to never discuss anything which will bring shame to yourself or your family.

Week 3 Lying
The ability to lie is important to our defenses because whenever we have done something wrong and are found out it is built in our body and mind to lie just to avoid getting trouble. Being able to be a good liar can be a good thing such as a solicitor who can win a case regardless of a person being in the wrong. But I can also be a bad thing like a good liar lying to his wife about having an affair.
Now if no one lied it would be funny because most people are told that if they have nothing good to say, not to say anything at all. Now if no one lied we wouldn’t have any friends because there isn’t a single one of us that hasn’t lied to our friends or family. The biggest liars are parents because they don’t want to hurt their child feelings like telling a tone-deaf child that they sing like an angel. Now what would a world like that run??????
People say that women gossip a lot but if we were to as who lies the most I think that men lie the most because without lying a man would not get far in any anything. In my view a man has to lie to achieve anything such as in work a man has suck up to the person above them by telling those true nothings about them, this is because men have not other charm. But to me lying is not all bad only when someone else is hurt can lying become bad and needs to be cleared up even if it means getting yourself into trouble.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie#Types_of_lie
On this link it says thats there are 21 different types of lies i never knew this i was under ther empression that there was only two types of lies a good one and a bad one.

Week 2 Smoking
Smoking is something that I have never thought of as a good thing because of my background and we all know the facts so I really don’t want to bore people with the facts I will post a link with all the facts at the end. On a personal level I strongly feel that smoking is bad, it's an addiction and I think by smoking you are paying to kill yourself. In the past and I must say there was no fascination of inhaling the fumes at all.
What I believe that most people start smoking due to peer pressure or to look ‘good’ or ‘hard’ not realising how addictive smoking will be and how hard it will be to come off smoking.
My friend’s mom used to smoke and when she stopped she had to take on something else to do to pass the cravings and the time you would spend smoking. She started eating to cover the craving and personally I feel that was the wrong move to take, whereas one of my male friends who gave up smoke hit the gym to pass the cravings and this was a good move as the only side effects of him stopping smoking was the Hench body he got.
But that is the thing right there it is what the person puts in there is no right or wrong way to this which is why the NHS has put out the stop smoking campaign as they know the side effect of smoking and the effect of when a person stops smoking. Good move.
and for you weed fans it grows wild on my farm in punjab hahahaha
